Below is a list of books I've read, unapologetically inspired by Derek Sivers' website. Click on any title to get a summary of the book plus my notes. This project is just as much to help myself cement the lessons I've learned as it is to hopefully help you find your next read. Very much a work in progress as of 01/2021 and therefore an incomplete list. Please enjoy.

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
Fundamentally shifted my entire perspective on life. Only concern yourself with what is in your domain of control. Pause before impulsively assigning judgement to life events. Serve others. Be grateful for every day. Just some of the lessons "the last great Roman Emperor" discusses with himself in his personal journal turned book. Must read in my opinion. |

It Takes What it Takes by Trevor Moawad
A few major ideas for me... 1) Neutral Thinking: living in reality where you objectively assess situation at hand and recognize what is in your control to change the future 2) Illusion of Choice: once you set your goal, objectively assess what it will take to get there and ask yourself if your willing to make the necessary choices and decisions 3) Eliminate Negativity: a) the self-talk and external stimuli are all in your control and b) never verbalize negativity, that's when it becomes real |
12 Rule for Life by Jordan Peterson
